Police arrest borough man, 29, for assault and possession of fake documents
John Street resident is being held without bail.

Princeton Borough Police arrested a 29-year-old man on Tuesday night and allege he beat up a man in his apartment.
Melvin Siliezar Alonzo, 29, of 144 John St, Princeton Borough, was arrested charged with assault and possession of false government documents. He is being held without bail.
According to borough police, they responded to Alonzo's apartment shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Thursday and found that he had beaten a man and inflicted injuries to his face.

While police were arresting Alonzo, they found that he was carrying three fake documents- two fictitious U.S. Social Security cards and one fake U.S. permanent resident card.
Alonzo also had outstanding warrants, police said.

His court date is scheduled for May 2.
