Police Report 7 Accidents During Storm, 3 Injuries

Mercer Street remains closed southbound at Lovers Lane.

Princeton Police report seven accidents- one with injuries- during the snowstorm that dumped at least seven inches of snow on Princeton.

The injuries happened on Wednesday morning on Mercer Street near the intersection of Maxwell, shortly after 7:35 a.m., Sgt. Michael Cifelli said.

A vehicle driven by Yulie Sereni, 47, of Trenton, was heading out of town when her 2007 Kia drove off the road and hit a utility pole.

Mercer Road is currently closed southbound at Lovers Lane while PSE&G makes repairs to the pole.

Road crews have been working most of the night, but drivers are still urged to be careful.

"Use the best caution that you can when driving," Cifelli said. "The roads are still slick, the temperatures are low. The road crews are out, doing their best to get everything clear."
