Princeton Musicians Launch Concert Series To Combat Food Insecurity
All donations from the concert will go directly to ArmInArm, which operates food pantries throughout Mercer County.
PRINCETON, NJ - This fall, local musicians will launch the first-ever MusicforFood concert in the area.
The initiative, spearheaded by Anna Lim, a classical violinist and longtime Princeton resident who teaches at Princeton University, represents a powerful response to recent funding cuts affecting programs that serve those in need.
"Given all the recent funding cuts to programs that benefit those in need, I was spurred to start a new project to raise money and awareness of food insecurity in our community," Lim told Patch.

Her efforts are part of a nationwide movement of classical musicians who donate their time and talents to present concerts that collect money for food pantries.

It promises to be a memorable evening featuring two beloved classical masterpieces — Mozart's Clarinet Quintet in A Major, K. 581, and Brahms' String Sextet No. 1 in B-flat Major, Op. 18.
The performance will showcase the talents of distinguished musicians, including Jo-Ann Sternberg on clarinet, Anna Lim and Ellen Jewett on violin, Marka Gustavsson and Caroline Wolff on viola, and Colin Carr and Frankie Carr on cello.
All donations from the concert will go directly to ArmInArm, a community organization that operates food pantries throughout Mercer County.
The MusicforFood initiative represents more than just fundraising—it's about raising awareness and bringing the community together around a shared commitment to addressing hunger in the area.
