Princeton Residents Sound Off on Snow Plowing

How have the roads in your neighborhood fared during the blizzard? Find out what your neighbors said on Facebook.

Winter Storm Jonas brought between two to three feet of snow to New Jersey causing approximately 90,000 power outages and coastal flooding in the southern part of the state.

As of Monday, the State of Emergency has been lifted, power has been restored to most of N.J. and bridges and tunnels to New York City have been reopened.

Still, hundreds of New Jersey school districts announced closures and motorists are warned to continue driving with extra caution.

We asked Patch readers if they were happy with the plowing done on their block. Here’s what you said:

  • “No plowing yet today in our apartment complex in Ewing. Looks like they came by at some point during the storm. We are all digging our cars out but once they plows come by again we will most likely have to dig out again.”
  • “I live on a side street on a cul-de-sac. Not only did they plow at least three times, but they came with a front loader to further remove [the snow] from the road.”
  • “A+ for Princeton Public Works!“
  • “We were told that the six-foot-wide bike path was now the responsibility of the municipality. [Estimated time of arrival is] end of business Monday, which doesn’t help the many, many children who walk to school. Additionally, their ETAs have been unreliable.”
