Resident Arrested, Charged With Possession of Suspected Rock Cocaine

The incident happened late Saturday night at Community Park South.

 

A Princeton man was arrested on Saturday and faces multiple criminal charges including possession of a controlled dangerous substance suspected to be rock cocaine, according to Township Police.

Anthony White, 40, of Maclean Street is charged with possession of CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, tampering with evidence and obstruction of justice.

White was held at Mercer County Corrections after he was unable to post $7,500 bail.

On Saturday night around 11:30 p.m., Township Off. Chris King and Off. Jennifer Lacovara were in Community Park South near Race Street. King approached a group of four people, at which point White began walking away, discarding an object.

King followed White and placed him under arrest. Preliminary tests showed the dropped object to be rock cocaine, and it was sent to the state police lab for further testing.  

"(Rock cocaine) is a little unusual because we don't see it that frequently," Sgt. Michael Ciffelli said. "It's here, but usually we're seeing marijuana.."
