Terhune Orchards Princeton Among Top Locations In U.S. for Produce

Travel + Leisure ranked Terhune Orchards No. 8 among the top places for apple picking in the U.S.

PRINCETON, NJ — New Jersey Secretary of Agriculture Douglas Fisher recently recognized Terhune Orchards for being listed by a national publication among top locations in the country for products and experience.

The September issue of Travel + Leisure ranked Terhune Orchards No. 8 among the top places for apple picking in the U.S.

This beautiful orchard offers a variety of apples, pumpkins, and other gourds in the fall, as well as fresh flowers to transform your home for the autumn equinox,” Travel + Leisure said. “Visitors can spend time with the animals of the farm (a favorite with children) and attend seasonal events.”

Terhune Orchards is located just outside of Princeton and features dwarf apple trees accessible to all. Their apple varieties include Jonathan, Fuji, Empire, Golden Delicious, Red Delicious, Stayman Winesap, Cameo, Granny Smith, Pink Lady, and Macoun varieties.

“The residents and visitors of New Jersey have known for many years about the outstanding agriculture, produce and on-farm experiences that are available here,” Fisher said. “These award-winning operations are some of the finest examples of prominent farm-related enterprises in the Garden State.”

Another farm from NJ, Demarest Farms located in Bergen County, also featured on the list, ranking No. 7.
