Washington Rd. In Princeton To Close For Bridge Repairs For 3 Months
Drivers who normally travel via Washington Road for access into and out of the city will need to use different routes, police said.
PRINCETON, NJ - A months-long closure at Washington Road is set to begin next week for bridge construction, authorities said.
On Friday, July 21, Washington Road (CR-571) will be closed to all traffic at the D&R canal for bridge construction, Princeton police said in a statement.
Drivers who normally travel via Washington Road for access into and out of the city will need to use South Harrison Street, Alexander Street or another alternative route, police said.

Detours will be in place and motorists should expect delays, police said. The closure will be in place until approximately October 2, 2023.
A detailed map of the construction area and detour route will be posted once available, police added.
