What To Do For Memorial Day Weekend 2024 In Princeton

Falling on the last Monday of May each year, Memorial Day honors those who lost their lives while serving in the military. It's a federal holiday that many people get off from work, resulting in a three-day weekend.

Memorial Day Parade And Ceremony

When: Saturday, May 25 - 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Where: Lawrence Veterans Park, 100 Oaklyn Ter., Lawrence Township, NJ 08648
What: Join the community in honoring the brave service members who have sacrificed for our nation at Lawrence Township’s Memorial Day parade and ceremony. The parade will start at Lawrence High School and make its way through local streets, concluding at Veterans Park where a ceremony will be held to honor service members.

Memorial Main Street Mile

When: Monday, May 27 - Kids Race at 7:45 a.m., Open Mile at 8:00 a.m.
Where: Starts at Wells Fargo Bank, 225 South Main St., Yardley, PA 19067
What: Start your Memorial Day with a spirited one-mile run through historic Yardley Borough, hosted by the Yardley Borough Parks and Recreation Board. Walkers, strollers and competitive runners alike are encouraged to participate in the race, benefiting American Legion Post 317. Kids are invited to join too, with their race starting earlier in the day; prizes are awarded across different age groups.

Hightstown Memorial Day Parade

When: Monday, May 27 - 9:00 a.m.
Where: Starts in Hightstown Borough, Specific Route Details To Be Announced
What: Hightstown Borough will honor Veterans this Memorial Day with a parade led by a distinguished veteran serving as the 2024 Grand Marshall. This family-friendly event will offer a tribute to those who have served our nation, featuring community members, performers and Veterans.

2024 Memorial Day Celebration

When: Monday, May 27 - 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Where: Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd., Newtown, PA 18940
What: Join the community in nearby Newtown to honor our nation’s heroes at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery’s Memorial Day ceremony. The whole family is welcome to attend the tribute, presented by Guardians of the National Cemetery, and seating will be provided.
