Alumnus Named Principal Of Don Bosco Prep In Ramsey

RAMSEY, NJ — An alumnus has come back to lead Don Bosco Prep.
Ermanno Morelli, a member of the Class of 2002, will take over as principal July 1, Don Bosco Prep announced Wednesday.
Morelli said he is "humbled" and "honored" to serve as the Catholic school's next principal. He is a 2002 Don Bosco alumnus. He will take over for Robert Fazio, who will become the first lay president in the school's history.

"It an incredible gift to know I'm coming home to the place that played such an important role in molding me into the man I am today," Morelli said.
Morelli earned a bachelor's degree in history from Boston College and master's degrees in teaching and curriculum from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and educational leadership from Ramapo College of New Jersey.

Morelli is dean of students at Regis High School. Previously, he taught at Westwood and Cresskill high school and Newark Academy. He was an adjunct professor at Relay Graduate School of Education in Manhattan.
"Manny embodies the best of a Don Bosco Prep education, and he will build well on the academic excellence, spiritual vitality, athletic distinction, and accomplishment in the arts that is the tradition of Don Bosco Prep," said Rev. James Heuser, the school's director and president. "It is a proud moment to welcome back an alumnus as our new principal."
