Broadway Revue Coming to Ramsey

The annual, multigenerational show, Broadway on Main, usually sells out, organizers say.

Taking in a Broadway show is a great experience. But, it comes along with a drive or train ride into Manhattan, and a pretty expensive price tag for tickets.

For two nights next week, a group of about 35 local performers will bring Broadway favorites to Ramsey.

The Saint John’s Memorial Episcopal Church is staging ‘Broadway on Main,’ a musical revue, on Friday, May 31, and Saturday, June 1. According to director Carolyn Greenberg, the show is sure to please all audiences.

‘Broadway on Main’ is set to include numbers from a wide range of classic and contemporary shows, she said, like Annie, Book of Mormon, Spamalot, 42nd Street, and Guys and Dolls – to name a few.

“The best part about this show is that we have a truly multigenerational cast,” Greenberg said. “You’ve got grandparents, parents and children, whole families performing in the show.”

The age range of the actors, singers, and performers in the revue – from age 7 to age 77 – is “pretty cool,” she said.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for kids.

Tickets to the annual show generally sell out, Greenberg said. To get yours, either call the Church office at 201-327-0703 or email Saint John’s at ellen.joyce@stjohnsramsey.org.
