Cause Of Fire That Ravaged Ramsey Corner Cafe Unknown
The fire was up in the ceiling and there was fire, smoke, and water damage to the building.

RAMSEY, NJ — Authorities continue to investigate the fire at the Ramsey Corner Cafe Friday.
The source and cause of the fire were unknown as of Monday morning, said Police Chief Bryan Gurney.
The fire appears to have occurred in the cafe's ceiling, Gurney said. There was a combination of fire, smoke, and water damage to the building. (See related: Firefighters Battle Blaze At Ramsey Corner Cafe)

The cafe announced on its Facebook page shortly after the fire that it had to close while it rebuilds.
Ramsey Fire Chief Louis Warnet told NorthJerey.com that the cafe will likely be closed for months.

The cafe was "astonished" by all the support it received following the fire.
"Thank you to all of our customers, friends, and, of course, the Ramsey Fire Department and Police Department," the cafe said in another Facebook post. "We hope back up and running soon."
Firefighters got a call about the fire at just after 4:30 p.m. and got to the cafe quickly. There were no injuries reported.
