Fundraiser Created For Ramsey Family Displaced By Fire
The Ardizzone family's home was severely damaged by a fire Wednesday morning.
RAMSEY, NJ — A GoFundMe campaign was created to help a borough family who was displaced following a devastating fire at their home Wednesday.
The Ardizzone Family suffered a "tremendous" loss after the fire, said Suzanne Wilson and Kristen Sausville of the Eric Smith Community Service Club said on the GoFundMe page.
"We can only imagine how this has impacted the entire family as they are without a place to live, clothing, and everyday necessities," Wilson and Sausville said. "Ramsey is founded on the premise of community and strength. Together we can support this family during this difficult time of need." (See related: Ramsey Residents Displaced Following House Fire)

Police got a call about smoke coming from the attic of the house at 9:15 a.m., said Ramsey Police Chief Bryan Gurney. The caller said there was an odor of something burning inside and smoke leaked through an eve on the outside of the house, he said.
By the time firefighters responded, the house's second floor was on fire, Gurney said. Firefighters used three tower trucks to pour water on the fire. No injuries were reported.
The house suffered severe fire, smoke, and water damage and will be uninhabitable, the chief said.
