Ramsey Police Department Hiring New Officers
Some job responsibilities include 'protection of life and property' and 'prevention and suppression of crime,' police said.
RAMSEY, NJ — The police department is looking for a few good men, or women.
The department will begin accepting applications Monday, until Sept. 16.
Interested applicants need to have a bachelor's degree, or at least two years of active military service or 60 credits from an accredited college, or at least four years of active military service with a commitment to complete a two-year degree or receive 60 credits within the next five years.

- Prevention and suppression of crime
- Protection of life and property
- Apprehension and prosecution of offenders
- Preservation of peace
- Enforcement of regulatory measures
Interested candidates can download an application on ramseypd.org, or pick up an application at the Ramsey Police Department headquarters at 25 North Central Ave.
