Reminder: Summer Sensations, Vibrations Registration Closing This Month

The Ramsey Adult School’s Youth & Children’s Programs (“YCP”) is currently accepting registrations for summer camps. Two camp experiences are available both for Ramsey district students as well as out-of-district students. 

Workshops are almost full, and the deadline to register is June 28.

RAS offers two summer camps for students. 

Summer Vibrations is a three-week, multi-faceted, performance-based music camp for children entering 5th through 8th grades in the upcoming school year. Its unique format enables your child to participate in an overall music experience which includes instrument lessons, electives, ensembles, and weekly Master Forums. 

Classes are taught by a variety of professionals – certified music teachers, post-graduate teachers, and touring professionals who are versed in jazz, rock, and classical music as well as the integration of music and technology.  Returning this year is ROCK BAND (for students with 2 yrs. experience on their instrument) – a class designed to bring serious musicians together who have always wanted to start a band or polish up an already formed band into a performance-ready unit with a solid direction. 

Camp runs from July 8 – 26, 9:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., five days per week at Dater School in Ramsey. Register now, electives such as iBand, Audacity Recording Studio, Summer Stompin’, and Mad Pad fill quickly!

Summer Sensations is a morning enrichment program designed for children entering Kindergarten through 5th grade in the upcoming school year.  Workshops are designed to stimulate creative thinking while integrating reading, math, science, computer, music, art, and other skills.  Children will build skills and explore their special interests in workshops of their choice, designed and taught by teaching professionals. 

Workshops such as Culture Club, Glee Nation, Sand Blast, Seuss on the Loose and Picture This (digital photography for kids) are just a few of the exciting offerings that make learning fun! 

Camp runs from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., five days per week.  Summer Sensations offers three, one week sessions starting July 8 and ending July 26 at Tisdale School in Ramsey.
