Fire Destroys Morris Co. Apartment Complex, Displacing Residents
Residents of a Randolph apartment complex were displaced during a fire over the weekend, fire officials said.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A fire severely damaged part of a Morris County apartment complex over the weekend, displacing dozens of residents, according to fire officials.
The fire broke out around midnight on Saturday, according to officials, as firefighters responded to reports of a blaze at the Randolph Village apartment complex on Quaker Church Road.
The three-alarm fire caused extensive damage to a large portion of the building’s left side, Randolph fire officials said. Twelve apartments were affected, displacing residents who are now receiving temporary shelter assistance from the Red Cross.

According to officials, the Morris County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) deployed the Mobile Ambulance Bus in coordination with the Randolph Rescue Squad to support fire and EMS operations.
Shortly after the fire, the Randolph Office of Emergency Management opened the Randolph Community Center as a warming center for displaced residents.

Randolph officials said they have partnered with the American Red Cross to provide assistance to the many residents displaced by the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and has not been released.
