College Scholarships Offered By Basie To Monmouth County Grads
Apply by this Tuesday, April 18, for a variety of college scholarships offered by the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank.
RED BANK, NJ — The Count Basie Center for the Arts reminds students that it is offering Arts Impact scholarships available to Monmouth County high school seniors graduating in 2023.
The application deadline for this year’s scholarships is Tuesday, April 18, at 5 p.m., the center said.

The Basie Center’s Arts Impact college scholarships programs awards $2,500 to students who demonstrate how the arts has affected their lives and could play a role in their career paths moving forward. Approximately nine $2,500 scholarships will be awarded, the organization said.

- Students should visit http://thebasie.org/arts-impact-scholarships, filling out the application form.
- Create an official entry packet, consisting of an essay, resume and two personal recommendations.
The thesis of the essay and spirit of the Basie’s Arts Impact Scholarship program is “The Impact of The Arts in My Life.”
Applicants may submit their entire packet via this link or print the application form for submission via U.S. mail.
Recipients will be announced in May and invited along with their families to a reception at the Basie Center where they’ll meet the donors behind the Arts Impact scholarships.
The center has been running the Arts Impact College Scholarships program since 2014, according to Jonathan E. Vena, chief marketing officer.
Samantha Giustiniani, senior director of education at the Count Basie Center for the Arts, said “We’re grateful to all of our generous donors for funding this year’s series of scholarships and awards. These awards recognize students who best exemplify what the Count Basie Center has long professed - that the presence of arts education is vital to our schools and communities."
