SHREWSBURY, NJ — Frutta Bowls in Shrewsbury bid farewell to customers on Sunday, three years after opening on Broad Street.

"It has been our greatest pleasure to serve the community, and we would like to thank all of our amazing customers… we so appreciate your business over the years! We are also so blessed to have had the most incredible staff," the company wrote on social media. "You are all truly like family, and you made this store such a happy place to work every day."

The health-driven Açai bowl franchise has 14 other locations in New Jersey, including one in Freehold, Morganville, Howell, Wall and Middletown.

Frutta Bowls was started in 2016 by Brooke Gagliano around her hometown of Freehold and has since expanded nationwide.
