It's a Nice Day for a White Wedding Walk
A beautiful almost-Spring day and wedding walk bring people out of hibernation to Red Bank's downtown.
It’s just been one of those winters. When it hasn’t snowed, it’s been bone-chillingly cold and, as I’ve found living here for just a few months, consistently windy, keeping hoods up, gloves on, and people off the streets. Though it seemed as though that might never end, Saturday proved to be quite a treat for those who decided to take to the streets on this Spring-like day.
Clear skies and temperatures hovering in the low 60’s for most of the afternoon provided a perfect setting for Red Bank’s annual Wedding Walk, a window-shopping extravaganza with dozens of participating businesses in the Red Bank area.

The decision to host the walk in March is an obvious one – it comes ahead of wedding season – but the weather can be a crapshoot. With the event calling for plenty of window-shopping and walking, the event organizer, Red Bank RiverCenter, and the borough’s vendors certainly lucked out.
Soon-to-be brides, their fiancés, and plenty of moms were out and about Saturday morning and afternoon, but they weren’t all. With the great weather came plenty of visitors.
