'Kids' Takeover' Of Red Bank's Broadwalk Is Friday
Special games, sidewalk chalk and room to bicycle are all on tap for Friday from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at Red Bank's pedestrian plaza.

RED BANK, NJ — Friday night is the "Kids' Takeover" of the Broadwalk pedestrian plaza, the borough's RiverCenter said.
There's a big canvas for sidewalk chalk drawings and room for bicycles.
The takeover is from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

RiverCenter will bring out oversized games, like Jenga and Connect Four, along with open streets for the bicycling.
The Broadwalk is a stretch of Broad Street that gets closed off to cars and opened up to pedestrians, restaurant dining, music, yoga and kids' activities to bolster this inland city's summer destination status.

This year's Broadwalk opened May 15 and continues all summer.
The Broadwalk came into being in 2020, as a response to COVID restrictions on indoor dining.
