Maslow Scholarship Now Accepting Applications From Red Bank Students
The scholarship is open to students in grades 11-12 who plan to continue their education at an accredited two- or four-year college.

The Community Foundation of New Jersey (CFNJ) announced today that the Jonathan Maslow Scholarship, which it administers on behalf of members of the Red Bank Regional High School (RBRHS) Class of 1966, is accepting applications for the Fall 2025 term.
The purpose of the scholarship is to provide assistance to RBRHS students in defraying the costs of their college education. With the generous support of the Class of 1966 and the Red Bank community, the scholarship will help young students achieve their educational and career goals.
Scholarships will be awarded to students exhibiting exceptionally high levels of written proficiency, creativity and originality, and interest in local or national environmental causes, journalism, or creative writing.

Jonathan Maslow was an accomplished author, journalist, documentary filmmaker, naturalist, and environmentalist. At the time of his death, he was an editor and columnist for the Herald News in Paterson. The sincerity, diversity, and depth of his creativity are reflected in his published works and the many awards that were bestowed on him by cultural and civic organizations. Students are encouraged to read the account of Mr. Maslow’s achievements in the application and become familiar with the school’s complete collection of his published works.
The Maslow scholarship is open to all RBRHS students in grades 11-12 who plan to continue their education at an accredited two- or four-year college immediately following graduation. The scholarship committee encourages students with an interest in contemporary journalism, creative writing, or environmental issues to apply. The scholarship is a $5,000 lump sum.

To apply, create a profile in the CFNJ online portal and complete the application. The deadline for applications is March 28, 2025.
