Patiently Waiting

We came across this little pooch hanging outside on the sidewalk waiting for his owner to return.

It's a quote, author unknown, that's bound to have appeared in your email inbox or on your Facebook page at some point over the years, probably along with a picture of an expectant looking pooch.

It's got several variations but typically goes something like this: "May I be the kind of person my dog thinks I am."

Truer words, perhaps, have never been spoken.

Walking through downtown Red Bank we spotted the little guy above waiting patiently for his owner to come out of on Broad Street. His leash hung loosely on an electrical pipe, the Beagle just tall enough to see into the glass front window kept a keen eye on the inside of the store, turning away only for mere seconds to give a look at passersby.

To the little guy's delight, the wait was a short one. And off the dog went, happier than he could ever hope.
