Personal Development Program Aims To Empower Women In Red Bank

Lunch Break is inviting the community to meet "Womyn's Worth," which looks to empower women through connection, coaching and self-discovery.

RED BANK, NJ — Designed to empower women through connection, coaching and self-discovery, Lunch Break is inviting community members to meet the personal development program "Womyn's Worth."

Founded in 2017 under the leadership of then-Program Director Sharda Love, the “Womyn’s Worth” program began by identifying and inviting women who could benefit from focused, holistic support.

The program has since evolved – now overseen by Lunch Break Program & Outreach Coordinator Fatima Carranza and led by Life Coach & Facilitator Pam Major, who guides participants through a dynamic blend of life skills and personal development experiences.

“I’m honored to lead Womyn’s Worth alongside Pam this year,” Carranza said. “This program is so much more than a series of events, it’s a journey of healing, growth, and sisterhood. Watching the women show up for themselves and each other is powerful, and I’m proud to be a part of it.”

The “Womyn’s Worth” program unfolds in two distinct parts:

  1. Topics of Interest Series: A welcoming, social phase featuring themed events such as tea parties, mindful walks, yoga and conversation, self-care activities and guided meditations. This phase helps build trust and a sense of community among participants.
  2. Personal Development Sessions: A more intimate, small-group experience focused on emotional growth, resilience and self-awareness. Partnering with Project Write Now, writing and journaling workshops led by Jennifer Chauhan (offered in the past) encourage reflection, goal-setting and personal breakthroughs.

Participants are invited to explore their inner voice, address fears and challenges, and set personal intentions with the option for one-on-one support if deeper guidance is needed.

The program also emphasizes mental health awareness, offering referrals to professional counselors or therapists when needed.

"Womyn’s Worth is about building relationships, uncovering strength and creating space for women to reclaim their stories,” Major said. “It’s a place where laughter, healing and empowerment happen side by side.”

Two upcoming meet and greet sessions will be held in Lunch Break’s Community Dining Room on Thursday, Aug. 7, and Tuesday, Aug. 19, from 12-1 p.m.

All women are welcome to join the program’s introductory lunch sessions to learn more about “Womyn’s Worth” and how to get involved.
