Pilgrim Baptist Church In Red Bank To Host Event Honoring Dr. King
A Community Commemorative Celebration honoring the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. will be Monday at Pilgrim Baptist Church, Red Bank.

RED BANK, NJ — To honor the legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Pilgrim Baptist Church in Red Bank will hold a community celebration.
The Community Commemorative Celebration will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 16, the national holiday dedicated to King, a civil rights icon who was assassinated in 1968.
The church is at 172 Shrewsbury Ave., Red Bank, led by Pastor Terrence K. Porter.

The speaker will be Rabbi Douglas Sagal of Congregation B'nai Israel in Rumson.

Doors open for the event at 10:15 a.m., and you can attend the celebration in person or on streaming. Visit www.pilgrim-baptist.org.
The resource exhibits will include information about many area organizations, including Lunch Break, EM-POWER Me, T. Thomas Fortune Cultural Center, JBJ Soul Kitchen, Parker Family Health Center, New Jersey Reentry Corporation, Hope Sheds Light, Brookdale Community College and the Charitable Pharmacy of Red Bank and Aetna Insurance.
