A Memorial Day Remembrance

Featuring photos of Greater Red Bank area residents who have served ... Upload photos of loved ones who have served or are in service to the country and/or community to the site.

Memorial Day may signal the unofficial start of the summer season, but it is really a time for reflection and patriotism … a time to remember those who have served and are serving our country and our communities.

Many make trips to cemeteries that are strewn with memorial flags from veterans’ organizations and area fire companies — a thank you and “lest we forget” marker for those who remain and carry on in the spirit of volunteerism.

There are many in the Red Bank area who have served in wars dating back as far as World War I and II and as currently as Afghanistan and Iraq.  Some are gone, certainly not forgotten, and some are still with us.

Patch would like to honor those in uniform of days gone by and now by featuring photos of our vets — men and women in service to the United States and/or their towns.

See if you remember the vets we’ve entered and please upload your own photos of someone special to honor. “Lest we forget …”
