Red Bank Catholic High School Launches New Dual Enrollment Partnership

RED BANK, NJ — Students at Red Bank Catholic (RBC) High School will soon have a new option for dual enrollment as RBC expands its current offerings for college credit.
For the 2025-26 school year, Rowan University will partner with RBC students to offer an engineering course beginning in the fall.
At RBC, the course will be called “Honors Introduction to Engineering,” with the equivalent course at Rowan University titled “First Year Engineering Clinic I.” Eligible students who successfully complete the course will receive three college credits.

Taught at RBC by teacher Brian Nesci (RBC ‘09), “Honors Introduction to Engineering” will introduce students to foundational concepts and practical applications across various engineering disciplines.
According to district officials, Nesci has a master’s degree in engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology and has been teaching in the Science Department of RBC since 2016.

To receive course credit from Rowan University, eligible students must maintain status as an RBC student and be in above-average academic standing.
With this program, Rowan University will join a growing list of dual enrollment partnerships that include Seton Hall University, Stockton University and the University of Delaware.
