Red Bank To Host 3rd Annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration
The celebration will take place on Sunday, Sept. 15, and feature live music, vendors and more.
RED BANK, NJ — The Borough of Red Bank will host their third annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration on Sunday, Sept. 15. from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Riverside Gardens Park.
At the event, attendees will be able to enjoy authentic cuisine, engaging children's activities and performances showcasing the beauty and diversity of Hispanic traditions.
The event is more than just a celebration, officials said. It's a testament to the strength, unity and cultural pride of the Hispanic community in Red Bank and beyond.

"It is with great pleasure that we invite the community to join us in celebrating Hispanic Heritage," Oscar Salinas, the director of recreation, said. "This year’s event is a reflection of our collective pride and commitment to honor the rich heritage, diverse traditions, and significant contributions of the Hispanic community. We invite everyone to join us for a day of joy, unity, and cultural celebration."
Red Bank's Hispanic Heritage Celebration was established in collaboration with Red Bank's Parks & Recreation Department, the Count Basie Center for the Arts and the Red Bank Public Library, officials said.

According to officials, the event aims to honor the "invaluable contributions and achievements of the Hispanic community" and to strengthen the bonds within the broader community.
“The Red Bank Public Library is excited to be a partner for the Hispanic Heritage Celebration!" Eleni Glykis, the executive director of Red Bank Public Library said. "We’ve planned an incredible day filled with music, dance, and food that truly embodies the spirit of our community. This event is a perfect example of how we can come together to celebrate the diverse cultures that make our Borough one of the best small towns in America!”
Planning for the Hispanic Heritage Celebration created a committee including community members and partners like the Red Bank Resource Network and American Friends Service Committee, officials said.
The committee pooled resources through collaboration and utilized their knowledge of the Red Bank community to make the event a success. The planning committee's mission was to strengthen the bonds within the Hispanic community and encourage cross-cultural interactions that would make for an "impactful and culturally authentic celebration."
“The Count Basie Center for the Arts is proud to be a part of an event that brings our community together to honor the diverse cultures that enrich our town and make Red Bank so special," Adriana Medina Gomez, the director of community engagement for Count Basie Center for the Arts, said. "This event is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the stories, traditions, and achievements of our Hispanic community, and we look forward to celebrating with everyone.”
In the event of rain, officials said the event will move indoors to Red Bank Middle School located at 101 Harding Road, Red Bank.
