Red Bank Sewage Spill Update: What You Need To Know

The sewer force main was clamped and repaired late Thursday night, according to officials.

RED BANK, NJ — The sewage spill that occurred Thursday evening in a Red Bank NJ Transit parking lot has been resolved, officials said Friday morning.

As of 11:50 p.m. on Thursday, the sewer force main was clamped and repaired by the borough’s Emergency Mechanical Contractor Mark Woszczcak, officials said. The repair has stopped any further discharge of sewage from the area.

Though this was not a Red Bank Borough project, officials said the borough’s resources and expertise were immediately deployed.

On Monday, the NJ Department of Environmental Protection will be conducting water sampling. Results are expected on Tuesday, according to officials.
