What drove you to seek public office?
I grew up in this area and always admired Shrewsbury’s small-town charm and strong sense of community. Even as a teenager, I knew I wanted to live here someday. Now that I do, I want to help ensure Shrewsbury remains the kind of town our children will dream of calling home.
I care deeply about our community and want to do my part to continue making Shrewsbury such a wonderful place to live and raise a family. As a member of Council, I’m proud to build on the progress we’ve made and remain committed to keeping Shrewsbury a great place for all who call it home.
What sets you apart from the other candidates?
I bring both professional experience and a deep personal connection to our community. Before serving on Council, I attended meetings to address traffic concerns in my neighborhood and saw firsthand how collaboration can lead to real results. That experience inspired me to stay involved and continue working to make Shrewsbury the best it can be.
My background in budgeting, purchasing, and operations supports responsible fiscal management, while my perspective as a wife, mother, and longtime resident keeps me grounded in the needs and priorities of local families. I pride myself on being approachable, thoughtful, and committed to listening to residents and working together to find solutions.
What past accomplishments or experiences make you qualified for this position?
My most important role is being a wife and mother, which has taught me strength, empathy, and resilience — qualities that guide how I listen, lead, and make decisions. I’ve also been an active volunteer in our community, supporting our schools, serving with the Shrewsbury Hose Company #1 Ladies Auxiliary, and recently joining the Monmouth County CERT team.
These experiences have deepened my understanding of service and strengthened my commitment to keeping Shrewsbury safe, welcoming, and connected.
If elected, what will be your top priorities in your new role?
My top priority is continuing to put taxpayers first by maintaining Shrewsbury’s strong record of fiscal responsibility. Through careful budgeting and smart spending, we can preserve the high-quality services our residents expect while planning responsibly for the future. Traffic and pedestrian safety also remain key priorities.
I will continue working closely with my Council colleagues, our police department, and borough staff to address residents’ concerns and make our streets safer for everyone.
Name one thing about Shrewsbury Borough that always makes you smile.
Driving down our tree-lined streets and seeing families out walking, neighbors chatting, and kids playing always reminds me why I love living here. It’s that sense of connection and community that makes Shrewsbury such a special place to call home.
