Spring in Bloom in Red Bank

Spring's earliest flowers bloom all over Red Bank as nature starts getting freaky.

All around Red Bank you'll find signs that Spring, finally, is here to stay. No more of those 65-degree days followed by 40-degree days with the particular chill in the air that can only be described as winter's bite. Those days, we hope, especially after this disaster of a winter that saw multiple snow storms, including one dropping more than 30 inches of snow and another dropping more than 20 inches of snow, are long gone.

Sure, it's a rainy month, and we can expect some rain this weekend, according to weather reports, but we'll suck it up for those increasingly beautiful days that, thankfully, seem to linger just a little bit longer around this time of the year.

On a Wednesday that turned out to be a beautiful day despite warnings of thunderstorms, we went out in search of signs of Spring. What better way to illustrate the season than by snapping pictures of the season's newest blooming flowers. In the late-afternoon sun we snapped pictures of everything from blooming Dogwood trees, to daffodils, to tulips and other Spring flowers. Enjoy the gallery, or, better yet, get out there and take your own photos.
