RED BANK, NJ — With the new Borough Council installed July 1, change is coming to local government in all sorts of ways.

Most recently, the council decided to take up Mayor Billy Portman's idea for public office hours, which he instituted when he won election earlier this year under the previous partisan form of government. Anyone in the public could meet with him Monday afternoons.

Now, with the approval by voters of a change to nonpartisan government - along with the new election of mayor and councilmembers it prompted, a new schedule of office hours was announced on Tuesday.
