There’s Still Time To Catch Fall Festivals Near Red Bank, Shrewsbury

Enjoy festivals celebrating autumn and Halloween in Red Bank and Shrewsbury.

RED BANK-SHREWSBURY, NJ — Fall is a great time to get outside in Red Bank and Shrewsbury and take in the rich offering of festivals.

The changing colors of autumn provide a scenic background for fall and harvest festivals, which have contests ranging from apple bobbing and pumpkin carving to lumberjack contests and Halloween parades.

Fall is also the season for corn mazes, pumpkin patches and apple orchard visits.

Red Bank:

  • The 74th annual Red Bank Halloween Parade has been moved to Sunday, Oct. 30. Lineup and judging will begin at 1 p.m. at the East Bergen Place and Hudson Avenue. The parade kicks off at 2 p.m. Parade will march down Broad Street to the White Street Parking lot for best costume awards, festive activities and music.   • Jersey Shore Ghost Tours are offering lantern-lit walking tour through historic Red Bank. Remaining dates are Oct. 28 and Nov. 4 and 11. Tours begin at 8:30 p.m. in front of The Dublin House, 30 Monmouth St. Registration is required at https://www.jerseyshoreghosttours.net to sign up for an upcoming tour. Tickets are $15 for adults, $13 for children under 12.
  • Halloween Trunk or Treat, Sunday, Oct. 30, noon to 2 p.m., United Methodist Church of Red Bank, 247 Broad St., Red Bank. Trunk or Treat, with a prize for best trunk; games, DJ Marco Bianculli; Photo Booth; candy.
