Wall Man Has 'Serious Injuries' In I-195 Collision In Howell: Police
Kyle Luciano was ejected from his car when his car crossed the median in Howell and was hit by a pickup, state police say.
HOWELL, NJ — A Wall Township man suffered serious injuries in an accident Thursday on Interstate 195 in Howell, New Jersey State Police said.
Kyle P. Luciano, 30, was ejected from his car in a collision, and was being treated for serious injuries, Sgt. Philip Curry said in a news release Friday.
He was in Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune Friday.

State troopers responded to the crash at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at I-195 west milepost 28.8 in Howell.

Based on a preliminary investigation, a Honda and Toyota were traveling west on I-195. A Dodge pickup truck was traveling east on I-195. In the area of milepost 28.8, the Toyota and Honda were involved in a side swipe collision, state police said.
As a result of the collision, the Toyota struck the left guardrail, the Honda ran off the road to the left, crossed the center grass median, and entered into the path of the Dodge traveling east, state police said.
The front of the Dodge struck the side of the Honda. During the collision, the driver of the Honda - Luciano - was ejected and sustained serious injuries, the state police said.
Howell police reported that I-195 was closed in both directions for a period of time, but was reopened.
The crash remains under investigation, state police said.
