Year-Long STEM Programs at the Red Bank Family YMCA!

Red Bank Family YMCA Launches New STEM Programs Thanks to Support from FirstEnergy Foundation

The Red Bank Family YMCA is proud to announce the launch of an exciting new year-round lineup of STEM programs designed to spark creativity, curiosity, and confidence in young learners. Thanks to generous funding from the FirstEnergy Foundation, local youth now have expanded access to hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math experiences that inspire discovery and innovation.

Beginning this season, the Y will offer four dynamic STEM pathways—Mission: STEMpossible, Inventors’ Playground, Imagineers, and WonderWorks—each crafted to engage specific age groups through fun, exploration, and problem-solving. From cracking secret codes to building imaginative inventions, every program helps children see themselves as capable creators and problem solvers.

This exciting program transforms STEM into an adventure, proving that the impossible becomes possible when curious minds work together.

Inventors’ Playground (Ages 9–12 | Wednesdays)

Welcome to a world where imagination has no limits.

Inventors’ Playground turns STEM into a creative laboratory where kids can build, design, experiment, and innovate. Participants dive into engineering challenges, tech exploration, and hands-on projects that encourage inventive thinking and problem-solving.

Whether they’re constructing prototypes or testing new ideas, children discover the joy of turning their imaginations into real-world creations.

Imagineers (Ages 6–8 | Thursdays)

Let creativity lead the way!

Imagineers invites younger learners into a vibrant space filled with experiments, design challenges, and collaborative discoveries. Participants explore how imagination fuels STEM by creating, testing, and re-designing throughout the day.

With every project, kids learn that innovation begins with curiosity—and that their ideas have the power to shape the world around them.

WonderWorks (Ages 9–12 | Fridays)

A playground for curious minds.

WonderWorks offers older participants an immersive, hands-on STEM experience through engineering activities, scientific investigations, and tech exploration. Children may craft working mechanical hands one week and explore the wonders of space the next.

By learning through doing, kids build confidence, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for innovation.

Empowering the Next Generation Through STEM

The Red Bank Family YMCA is committed to nurturing youth development, and these new STEM programs—made possible by the FirstEnergy Foundation—expand opportunities for children to explore their potential and build future-ready skills. By providing interactive, engaging, and age-appropriate challenges, the Y ensures that every child can discover the joy of problem-solving, inventing, and imagining.

Enrollment opens Monday, December 8, and programs are expected to fill quickly. Families are encouraged to register early and join the Y in building a brighter future—one experiment, invention, and discovery at a time. Visit www.ymcanj.org/register to save your spot!
