$11K In Checks Mailed From Ridgewood Post Office Stolen: Police

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — An Oak Street business reported that more than $11,000 in checks were stolen from mail at the Ridgewood Post Office, police said.

The business reported the checks were stolen from an envelope that was mailed at the post office at June 24, police said.

The business reported mailing the delivering an envelope with the checks in it and a short time later, the checks were cashed by someone other than the intended recipient, police said.
