5 New Restaurants To Try That Opened In North Jersey Last Month

From a burger joint owned by a NYC restaurateur to a new Italian hotspot, here are 5 North Jersey eateries that opened in December.

NORTH JERSEY — From a New York City restaurateur offering cheap burgers in Jersey City to a xxxx, several new restaurants have opened in the last four weeks or so. Here are five that Patch covered:

Speedy's JC Burgers & Bowls

Two weeks ago, the burger joint Speedy's JC held a grand reopening at their new location in Jersey City. Jersey City resident Dimitri Liberis — who also owns a West Village gastropub called the Warren — said, "I wanted to do something more accessible: a burger under 10 dollars, flavorful handhelds, and playful salad bowls." The location is a partnership with Thomas's Homemade Ice Cream of Hoboken, a 30-year-old family business. Thomas' will operate under the same roof, serving sundaes and shakes alongside burgers and bowls. The restaurant is located at 154 Chestnut Ave. Some of the gourmet burgers can be had for under $8. Every Day Grind Coffee Company And WNB Factory

Two new businesses recently arrived on the same street in Bloomfield. Every Day Grind (EDG) Coffee Company and WNB Factory both opened their doors on Washington Street.

The coffee shop serves up a variety of hot and cold beverages, croissants, donuts, and even a few sandwiches to get you through your daily "grind." They take coffee seriously, stating, "We source only the finest beans and craft drinks that honor the artistry of specialty coffee." Take a peek at their digs and menu here. They're located at 59 Washington St.

And WNB at 68 Washington says, "Our restaurant specializes in award-winning wings, juicy Certified Angus Beef burgers, and authentic, mouthwatering cheesesteaks. Committed to using fresh ingredients, WNB Factory provides a diverse menu that also features crispy chicken sandwiches, satisfying fried rice dishes, and fresh salads, making us the perfect fast-casual spot for lunch, dinner, or your next game-day feast right here in Bloomfield."
