7 Bergen County Academies Seniors Recognized For Science Research
Seven seniors from Bergen County Academies have been named Regeneron Scholars for their scientific research.
HACKENSACK, NJ — Seven seniors from Bergen County Academies have been named Regeneron Scholars for their scientific research.
Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco gave the students a shoutout on his Facebook page Tuesday afternoon. They were announced as finalists earlier this year.
More than 1,800 scholars applied for the program. Forty finalists will be announced Jan. 20. In March, these students will compete in a weeklong competition with the opportunity to win more money.

The Regeneron Science Talent Search is an annual contest allowing students "a national stage to present original research and celebrates the hard work and novel discoveries of young scientists who are bringing a fresh perspective to significant global challenges."
