Amazon Fresh Opens New 40,000 Square Foot Supermarket In Bergen County

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Amazon isn't just for on-line ordering anymore. The company opened its third brick-and-mortar New Jersey supermarket Thursday.

The 40,000 square foot Amazon Fresh opened in Lodi, following on the heels of its new supermarkets in Paramus and Eatontown.

"Customers can expect to find a wide selection of national brands, high-quality produce and protein, as well as Amazon’s private label brands like Aplenty, Amazon Fresh, and 365 by Whole Foods Market—all at great low prices," said a spokesperson.

“Lodi is thrilled to welcome Amazon Fresh to our thriving town,” said Lodi Mayor Scott Luna. “As we continue building for the future, we appreciate Amazon’s investment in this store, which will be a wonderful amenity for our residents.”

Surplus food will be donated to the Foodbank of New Jersey.

The market boasted "great deals on Atlantic salmon, seedless grapes, organic Honeycrisp Apples, and more ... a dedicated department offering a wide selection of crackers, cheeses, and charcuterie from local and national brands, and a wide selection of international flavors with condiments and sauces from around the world. Customers will also find grab & go sandwiches, salads, wraps, and snack boxes for those busy family weekends, and can stop in after work to grab take-and-bake pizzas, ready-to-heat burritos, and ready-made meals to simplify dinner plans."

Deals And Local Brands

The market will also offer more than 100 regional brands including Boylan Bottling Soda, Hu Kitchen, and Taylor Provisions.

The company says that customers who shop Amazon Fresh Lodi can save up to 30 percent on 4,000 weekly rotating grocery items both in-store and online, every day. Prime members also get Prime Savings, which offers 10 percent off on hundreds of additional grocery items.

Doors opened at 8 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22. The market is open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days per week.
