'Anti-Transgender' Graffiti Found On Glen Rock Building: Police
The Glen Rock Police Department is asking the public's help in tracking down the suspect.
GLEN ROCK, NJ — The Glen Rock Police Department is trying to track down the person responsible for recently vandalizing a commercial building with offensive graffiti.
"The graffiti was mostly words with some symbols. It consisted of an anti-transgender message," Sgt. James Calaski told Patch. "We are not sharing any photos taken by the police."
Although Calaski did not reveal specifics of the graffiti, his department is referring to the case as a "bias incident" and says it remains under investigation.

According to police, the illegal artwork was put up between 4 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday of this week on the building located at the rear of the CVS parking lot, which is located at 175 Rock Rd. in Glen Rock.
The removal of the graffiti is being handled by the property owner, the detective added.

If caught, Calaski said the suspect could be charged with criminal mischief as well as "any appropriate bias charges."
