
Gourmet chicken restaurant announced Wednesday it has closed the doors.
The Garber Square business opened this past summer, specializing in roasted and charcoal-grilled chicken, which has been a hit at the owners' flagship restaurant Axia in Tenafly.
According to owner Christina Parlamis, the business closed this past Monday.
"We closed for two reasons - one was limited sale volume of the restaurant as a gourmet chicken place," Parlamis said. "The second was we wanted to pursue a new opportunity that has presented itself to us with the space that better fits the needs of the neighborhood."

A in November said that although the restaurant's chicken was top-notch, the business suffered from various operational problems.
As details were "still being finalized," Parlamis did not elaborate on what concept will replace Baste.
