The Ridgewood band performs a set that rocked the East Ridgewood Ave coffee shop on Saturday night; the band is heading out to perform South by Southwest in Texas.
Big Wilson River could be the next hot-to-trot village band to become darlings of the indie world, following in the footsteps of Pitchfork-approved Real Estate.
The six-member band played a five-song set at the on Saturday night, shaking the espresso machine.
What exactly the music is ranged from the classification "thrash folk" to what would happen if "we were beating the [expletive deleted] out of Mumford and Sons," guitarist/vocalist Darrin Bradbury said.

The band played one last show before venturing off to Austin, Texas on Sunday, where they'll be dropping their frantic blend of folk at South By Southwest music festival next week.
