Contractors working a construction site came upon an interesting find – and it will cost about $87,000 to fix.

According to , contractor The Bennett Company was digging footings when they hit old construction material, including brick work, extending around a good portion of the school's property. 

Fishbein said much of it was found where the new courtyard will be placed and extended out toward Monroe Avenue.

Because of the presence of old materials, which Fishbein said were commonly buried with the sites in past decades, the ground was not stable enough to be built on. Soil was removed and new materials tested.
