Baby New Year: Bergen County Girl Arrives An Hour Into 2026

TEANECK, NJ — A Lodi couple got a New Year's Day present on Thursday when their baby girl was born at 1:16 a.m., a hospital spokeswoman said.

Parents Samantha Tineo and Ankaury Camilo welcomed little Xolani Faith Camilo at Holy Name hospital in Teaneck.

Xolani, who is their first child, weighed 8 lbs., 6 oz. and measured 20.5 inches.

Mom Samantha "experienced what a labor nurse would describe as a beautiful labor," the spokesperson said. "She arrived contracting and progressed naturally without any medication. As a first-time mother, she did exceptionally well and delivered her baby within minutes of pushing."

Baby and mother are doing fine, the hospital said.
