Bergen County Man Distributed Child Sex Abuse Materials, Prosecutors Say

An Edgewater man was charged with possessing and distributing child sex abuse materials, prosecutors said.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — An Edgewater man has been arrested for possessing and distributing child sex abuse materials, prosecutors said.

James T. Reilly, 63, was charged Wednesday with second-degree distribution of child pornography and third-degree possession of child pornography, said the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.

The county prosecutor's Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at Reilly's house as part of an internet child sexual abuse materials investigation, prosecutors said.

The investigation determined that he "used the Internet to view, download, possess, distribute, and share items depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent children," prosecutors said.

He was taken to the Bergen County Jail to await a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, prosecutors said.
