Fair Lawn Woman Took Drug Paraphernalia to Court, Ridgewood Cops Say

The accused now faces possession charges.

Ridgewood police say a Fair Lawn woman brought something unexpected to a municipal court appearance last Thursday – and now she's facing charges.

According to village police, Ptl. Jeff Casson found drug paraphernalia when he searched the bag of Danielle Allegretti, 29, at a security check for court on Jan. 24. Allegretti was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was released pending a future court appearance in Ridgewood.

It's not the first time police say someone forgot to leave illicit items home for a court appearance.

In November, police said 37-year-old Ridgewood man tried to get through security with a backpack containing marijuana, cocaine, numerous prescription pills and drug paraphernalia.
