Fixing Village Hall to Cost About $300K
Village advancing on getting the first floor of its governmental home reworked

The village is moving forward with repairs to its bare, flood-scarred .
According to Village Manager Ken Gabbert, the architect commissioned to lead the has already laid out a series of options, recommending the village use two separate types of waterproof concrete blooks on the first floor of the building.
Village Engineer Chris Rutishauser at Wednesday night's council meeting delved further into the recommended plan, explaining the more aesthetically pleasing of the blocks would rise 64-inches tall, which would protect the village from a 125-year flood event. The less polished of the blocks would line the meeting rooms, according to plans.
