Free Music, Crafts, Zoo At Daffodil Festival/Earth Day Fair In Ridgewood This Weekend
"Bring the whole family, and your dog" to an annual Daffodil Festival and Earth Day fair in Ridgewood, organizers urged.
RIDGEWOOD, NJ — Organizers urge local residents to "bring the whole family — and your dog" to the annual Daffodil Festival and Earth Day in Ridgewood this weekend.
It's unclear whether there will be daffodils, but organizers say that attendees will get to enjoy free live music, educational displays and programs, a petting zoo, demonstrations, crafts, and vendors specializing in sustainability and natural products and services.
The event will take place at Memorial Park at Van Neste Square on Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

"Leashed dogs and their owners are invited to dress in costume and join the popular Daffy Dog Parade at 12:30 pm.," noted organizers. Registration for the parade begins at noon at the Ridgewood Veterinary Hospital booth.
The theme of this year’s event is “H2O Optimize: Protecting Our Water,” which reflects the issues being addressed by the Village of Ridgewood through local government involvement and volunteer committees.

The issues, the town said, include: conservation, water quality and flood mitigation.
The event is sponsored by the Village of Ridgewood Department of Parks and Recreation, Conservancy for Ridgewood Public Lands, and Green Ridgewood.
