Friday: Girls Lax Take on Westfield in States
See what else is up on what could be a rainy Friday

1) Spaces are still up for grabs for the Summer Junior New Players program. The Junior Company is a rigorous theatre program for Ridgewood students who have completed Grades 5 through 8. The three-week summer session will take place from July 5 – August 2. Find more out at www.rhsnewplayers.com but register before the deadline ends on May 27.
2) Stop us if you've heard this one before – it's probably going to rain on Friday. Yeah, we've been saying it all week. There's a 60 percent of showers on Friday with a high around 74, according to the National Weather Service. The rain is likely to hit after 1 p.m.
3) The Ridgewood varsity lacrosse girls will play Union County's Westfield at 4:15 p.m. in the second round of the state playoffs. The game is at home. Ridgewood is definitely the favorite.

4) The Jersey Jubilation Handbell Choir will be at for its Spring concert at 8 p.m.
5) Tom Vielbig, co-owner of ,was quoted in a Record article on the gains of the state economy. Veilbig told the daily that although the weather has not been great, sales are "far ahead" of that in 2010.
