Friday: Planning Board Set to Begin Another Master Plan Reexamination

The board is required to reexamine its Master Plan every six years.

1) The planning board is beginning the process of reexaminaing the Master Plan and is soon to form a four-member subcommittee, it said at its Tuesday night meeting. The Master Plan must be reexamined every six years. The indicated it would like the Master Plan to be "more user friendly" to the average resident. Many in the community are upset with the planning board's decision to open the door for large zoning changes with the Valley Hospital 'Renewal' application. The council currently to determine the Valley expansion fate.

2) Village Manager Ken Gabbert said at the Wednesday night council meeting that the village was the recipient of a $450,000 state grant, which was anticipated.

3) The JK Band will be performing at on Friday night, likely around 10 p.m. There is a cover charge.

4) The 4th of July Committee is doing well, Deputy Mayor Tom Riche reported. This year's theme is the Constitution and organizers say they are quite excited.
