Friday: Social Justice Event, New Village Vehicles, Dance

See what's up in the village on Friday.

1) The village will be welcoming two new vehicles to the fleet. One is a Kubota TRV vehicle, used by the Parks Division for a number of purposes, including Graydon during warmer weather and snow removal during colder times. The second vehicle is a 2011 Ford F-450 for Emergency Services, which will replace a pickup truck that is over 15 years old and had been used for a number of departments and purposes. Old vehicles will go to auction.

2) The Unitarian Society is having its from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. with a discussion on immigration. The suggested donation is $5.

3) The Parks & Rec-sponsored 8th grade mixer is taking place tonight at the Anne Zusy Youth Center at Village Hall at 7:30 p.m. through 9:30 p.m. Light refreshments, a DJ and fun will be there. Tickets are $7.

4) The weather hasn't been great lately and Friday again seems like a wild card. There's a chance of showers after 2 p.m. (30 percent) with a high of around 53 degrees.

5) If you're looking for a laugh, you'd be wise to remember that Thursday night is Karaoke night at . There's occasionally a bit of talent, but karaoke isn't really about the talent anyway.
