Garfield Man Sexually Assaulted Pre-Teen: Bergen County Prosecutor
A 24-year-old Garfield man was charged with sex assault for an act committed against a child under 13, Bergen County prosecutors said.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A 24-year-old Garfield man was charged with sexual assault against a child under 13, prosecutors said Thursday.
Jayden A. Maneiro of Garfield was charged with second-degree sexual assault and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, said the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.
On Friday, Sept. 13, the Garfield Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding an alleged incident of sexual assault that had occurred in the past, prosecutors said.
An investigation determined that Maneiro had sexually assaulted a child under 13 in Garfield.

He was arrested in Paramus and taken to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, prosecutors said.
